We almost pulled this one out! (and the rain stayed away also) The last two events were very exciting. Trish lead the long jump till the 5th round, then the girl from Bergen Tech did 16-2.75 to go one quarter inch ahead of Trish's 16-2.5 second round jump. But after some advice from coach Cooper Trish roared down the runway and popped a 16-4.25 jump to win it with her last jump. Trish then jogged over and joined the 4X4 and about 10 minutes later they won their first major meet with Ridgewood's best time of the year. We were actually ahead in the team score at one point during the day but Hackensack just had too much over the whole meet. But 2nd in the North Section is a great accomplishment. Trish took home 3 gold medals and Jess was 2, 3, 3, in the three sprints! The two of them scored more than half of our points!
